After a historic 19 day strike in the fall of 2022, the PMA Union ratified our local’s first contract. Now, Philly Cultural Workers United represents hundreds of workers at numerous institutions across Philadelphia.

In 2020, workers at the Philadelphia Museum of Art organized the first wall-to-wall union in a major US museum. Since then, Philly Cultural Workers United has become the fastest growing local at AFSCME DC47. Learn more about Local 397 here.
